Sulking, wanting pretty things and Sakura-con

If life throws you a disaster there is a tried and tested way to deal with it. First is to sulk, and sulk big time.Stay on the bed and refuse to leave it (when you leave, life starts up again, and life kind SUCKS right now!). The same is true when you end up taking a bath: This one is for all the frog lovers (though remember that is illegal in many states, not Washington however). So, if you are going to sit in lukewarm water and say in a pouty voice when people want to come out, “Don’t WANNA!” which also works when they try to give you food to eat, or that you should get clothes on, etc.

But let’s face it, first crying, then sulking can only last so long (about 6-8 hours off an on in my case and is followed by ‘Well if I can only live so long I might as well have PRETTY things!” Which unfortunately is where my odd ability to have pretty things virtually LEAP off the shelves at me occurs. For instance I am at a store buying HELLO KITTY stuff for presents when this Bustier with matching white thong panties leapt off the shelf at me! As it happens 38-B is a rare size, so it was only $17 down from $60. I tried it on, and Linda liked it. If Linda “likes” it, that means I might get sex. Ergo, I bought it. Sometimes, my logic isn’t really that complex. Also, if I can find cat ears on the first day of the Sakura-con, I can go in the second day as CAT GIRL – I found a picture and I have the stocking, I have the Bustier with the stocking clips, AND the panties, I just need ears and tail.

Back to wanting pretty things, for example, the way I am leaving my WISHLIST link here isn’t that complex – the post sulk state is where one wants to shower yourself or BE SHOWERED with pretty things. I will point out that the Thomas Nene thank you cards I had up before I have used entirely (40 cards written) and these are the only ones left…just mentioning. Also Linda is running out of Romances. She tends to read these as I spend another hour going, “But they HAD the order for IVIG! And I knew they were going to diagnose, did they have to be so, you know, extensive?” – it goes on for a while. Just SAYING. (and yes, I know I am shameless, if I had shame, does that get me treatment? No, so yeah, shameless?”

As for going to Sakura-Con, I leave early tomorrow to get there at opening! And then I am going to go CRAZY! Well until my money runs out (note to self stop by bank and get last of manga money). Cat ears for everyone! I have my outfit prepared, I bought the corset several weeks ago and it fits, like a glove, or so, since my estrogen is getting through now, my breasts are perking up and have grown about a half size in the last week or two, so I hope they keep growing! But too much would ruin the look.

The skirt was sent to me by a reader in America who found it in the UK and it has corset and purple ribbons (sweet!) – and I got from Hot topic the feathers to match it, so I think I am ready to rock and roll (just need to add my tights/stockings – I wish I had black and purple ones! Oh well go with what I have right?). Still pretty cool no? I really have to thank the person who sent the skirt as they found it for me and sent it from the UK in time express mail – as the SIX INCH skirt was no, not too short, but rather didn’t quite fit, so I have my leopard print thong for tomorrow. For underneath.

Linda will be helping me and giving me a VERY close shave tonight down there in Area 51. She has been very helpful with tips like, “If you play the crip card and they STILL don’t give you a discount, then use your hands to cross your legs and uncross them, remember these are anime Otakus (geeks) and may have never seen ‘the promised land’. Then try for the discount.” (I meantioned the 'shameless' right?) Linda is such wise, lovely and understanding spouse. Like when I whipped out my Josei book (I have two on the wishlist, they are heterosexual sex themed manga and I was asking some people at dinner, “Is this really possible, I mean her leg is almost touching the ceiling!” and the woman looked at me and went, “So?” The rest kind of left PG behind so I will leave that for another day (get me a Luv Luv book and I can email YOU questions…..or not, it is your choice!).

I am writing up the last list of things to do and things to look for at Sakura-con, I hope I have a great time and I take pictures and I get everyone cat ears or rabbit ears or fox ears or something FUN! I think we all need more fun (says a person who has to return to many, many doctor appointments – uh, need lots more fun!).

To finish the day, as we left the van coming back into Cheryl’s house we saw two deer eating the lawn. Which I think is fine with us and Cheryl. Here is one leaving by the Cherry (Sakura) tree. Does this bode well for Sakura? I think so!

I hope you all have a great weekend, thank you for your support and Raccoon, I would not ask you to go to a Yaoi convention, Yuri however, I think you would enjoy a LOT! Meanwhile, I have an hour of body shaving and squeezing into a corset ahead of me! Looking casually fabulous takes time you know!

I am on a reduced-service, pay-per-byte modem, and pictures have been disallowed on my Internet connection, then you go and do a post which promises even more pretty pictures than usual, and also relies on them more than usual. Does that mean that I get to sulk, too? How about a pouty bottom lip - is that OK?

I can't wait to hear your account of Sakura-con, and to see the photos (although I will have to get a different Internet connection for that!). Yay! It will be so much fun! Sorry - it is your mission to give us some second-hand fun, and I very much look forward to finding out the results. Also to getting some sleep, so that what comes out as a result of my typing makes sense...

Oh dear! Oh, dear Beth, what an interesting corset. Oh! Deer!

My glasses are starting to fog up, Beth. Very, VERY nice corsets, both of them. I'm not sure that my Beloved approves of my approving...

Love and very careful hugs, so as not to disturb the cat ears,
Neil

You look absolutely fabulous! Have a wonderful time!

Sulking is good for a while, but other things are definitely more fun in the long run. :)

I like the cat girl picture. Sitting there looking all demure. But we all know that she's a cat, so we all know how much trouble she can get into...

The deer, on the other hand, such a nice quiet picture. Sometimes it's nice living in the great outdoors.

Yeah, yaoi isn't really my thing. Yuri, on the other hand, I think I would appreciate a lot more.

Mind candy only, though.

Wow, you look AMAZING in those things (and that's definite come hither looks - I'm going to use you as a reference for when I practice mine)(yes, I need to practive before being capable of doing it without looking like an idiot. Shut up). If you weren't taken, I'd totally... erm... very awkwardly maybe hint at... um...

Moving on now, before I get myself into the kind of trouble I can't handle!

I hope you have a fantastic time and look forward to the stories.

Tired again, but hope you have a good time. Great corsets and skirt.

Thanks Beth-I needed a kick in the ass. I've been feeling sorry for myself and the situation I'm in. It was good to see you last night and I hope you enjoy the presents when you see them. Consider them your own kick in the ass to get out of the tub. Have fun in Seattle.

You look totally sensational in that black corsetty-micro skirt thingy! I must say it is so ABSOLUTELY not my sort of outfit (!!!) as I would be wearing jeans, t-shirt, fleece, sensible shoes... (maybe there is something missing in my life after all!)

Either way, have a fabulous time at SakuraCon and I hope it gives you - and Linda - a break from the agony of the medical stuff. Enjoy!

What fabulous outfits! I wish I were young enough/had the nerve to wear corsets. You look great.

Enjoy Sakura-con! I'll be looking forward to your blog about it.

Well, those are beautiful corsets (or what it is cold) When one has to go, (which we all will as far as my experience) why not do it with style.

Good luck with the boobs

take care

I know I haven't commented here in ages, and for that, I apologize. You can actually send me a pstcard now, I'm sure my parents would be fine with that.

And, I agree on the sulking part. Sometimes, it's the best thing.

I like the corsets a lot! You're gawgeous.

I think I may have the opposite bra size issue as you. I'm a 34D, technically, which is somewhat impossible to find, so I usually wear a 36C.

Please know I think of you often and am wishing you the best!

I'd wish you fun at Sakura-con, but with those outfits how could you not?

erm... That anonymous comment about needing to practice come hither looks was me (of course it was, who else would be that dorky?). Dunno why it posted as anonymous.

Love the photo from Cheryl's house. Deer in the backyard AND flowering trees? You're a lucky woman, Cheryl.

I suppose you are getting ready for Sakura-con as I write this comment. I do look forward to the tale of your adventures. In the costumes you have chosen, you should have many!

You certainly have the right to sulk, and the right to pretty things. May this weekend lift your spirits.

Hope you have a blast. Great new corset, great outfit and perfect illustrations as ever. Great to have a Skura-con remedy for sulking :o)

Oh my, those corsets are so cute! I would have lots and lots of those if not for my scoliosis.

'Well if I can only live so long I might as well have PRETTY things!'.

Amen to that! I think this is a philosophy EVERYONE should live by ;-).

Oh wow. Love the corset pics and the deer is sweet. My old university had its own matching set of deer and its own deer park, so most days we would stop off and greet the deer on the way home!

Hey, I think having fun is a much better priority than sulking, particularly when time and energy is limited. So I am pleased you're getting to do this, and I adore how you're looking!

Also, I'm fabulously pleased to hear about the estrogen and the breasts. And of course the white bustier as a result :P

And they were pretty pictures of you? You meanie! (you sometimes suggest that they are, but they turn out just to be metaphorical representations of you) And I won't be able to see them until the day after tomorrow! Ah well - something to look forward to!

Ah, Sakura-con is good, health is bad, I did not get to the poi-class today as I wanted but did buy some art books which was nice and some purple and black tights and white ones for the bustier and panty thong - whichis all I plan to wear on Sunday! They say I have to go to bed so will continue this tomorrow.

Abi: Yes, 11 pictures of which 3 are me in two different corset outfits - ha, so there, now you have to wait for a decent internet to see it.

Luce: Thank you, well, better to try than not, I guess. And I will still work for IVIG.

Neil: thanks, I got some people taking pictures of me today, which was fun, vamping, wait until I wear the white Bustier, and then we will see what happens! I am still looking for white cat ears, and cat ear gifts for all!

Wendryn: Thank you - sulking is best done with a bed and chocolates around as well I have found, and a good supply of books or a computer. Which I did not have for a day.

Raccoon: Yes, I like the difference between the two, cats are going to be trouble (those little claws climb everywhere) while deer are just deer (which means they destroy the garden) - I thought it was nice of wildlife to come to me - I hope when I return more raccoons!

I got some post cards but not enough publishers, San Fran has a HUGE convention which would have many postcards! But I did get 20 or so.

Lene: Well, I was sort of hit on by two girls including a roller derby one while Cheryl was hit on by a GUY - so obviously Anime Con's are where I need to be, I get the girls, and well, not so great for Cheryl but still. Also almost got a job, I wanted to ask someone if they had a title and asked, "Are you employeed here." and they said, 'Yeah, we need help, just restock and it is $8 and hour." - which if I didn't REALLY want to do the rest of the Con would have been my first paying job in ages - oh America, they truely don't care if you are in a wheelchair!

Frida: Sorry you are tired, but I know you have a lot to do.

Maggie: My ass kicking days are over, I think, no feeling in the foot is the problem.

Kate J: Linda says I must go but thank you for your comments and yes, I think that you need a corset in your life- all need a corset in your life, I wear one on days I am by myself sometimes to remind myself that I AM more than just a drudge (as I often feel).

Hi Beth,I've been away for a while. You look great. Have a blast at sakura-con My kids have already bought their tickets to the anime expo in L.A. for this July. Costumes are being planned and made as I write.
