I really like this picture. The dress reminds me of the ones women wore in the 1800 time scale. I've just been reading a lot of classics and it really bought that style of dress to mind when I saw the pic.
No medication - doctors will only do refills so far, no advance; we have the letter, but no one who will do anything. Also too ill to see doctors this week and much of last week.
Sorry to hear that. Sounds rough. Had been hoping for you that things would get easier on the doctor front. I hope you'll have some improvements soon and be able to do that.
Sorry things are "rough" for you! Not to be a picky person (but Raccoon will tell you I am when it comes to poetry) but the line is "its hour come round at last." Yeats would not associate this beast with gender for a reason :-)
For Raccoon, ya may have heard this in Stephen King's "The Stand."
Tanager: Crap, you're right, I thought it was J Alfred - shows me for taking things for granted - now I am stuck with a third rate take on the end of time instead of a second rate one. CRAP! Oh yes, I did think the 'his' was odd, not meshing with my memory. I'm sure Yeats did, may he rest in peace, for his center didn't hold very well either.
Never been good with understanding poetry even when my brain worked quite well. But the picture speaks to me and says much.
A letter to you got posted yesterday so will be with you soon. Wish it were me coming to sit with you for a while instead. Just sit together and only chat if you wanted to. Anything to help you from the darkness.
I know what it's like to be too sick to go to the doctor! No strength to get up & get dressed, deal with the ride, sitting is too hard. Not to mention the pain & whatever other symptoms you are dealing with. And not having the mind power to speak up for yourself. Sometimes this can be managed, if you know the doctor is going to help you. Like when I go to my primary care doctor - I know she's going to listen, help me deal with my current symptoms, & try to come up with a plan to make things better for me. When it's a visit to another specialist, or tests etc that might possibly help in the future, or a doctor that probably not going to help, it's just too hard. And sometimes it's just impossible even for a good doctor. Some days rest is best. I wish you had some peace & quiet today. Bah to the construction & noise!
Hey there. I've been reading a couple posts of your blog and I must say that you have to be one of the bravest, brightest, and funniest women I've ever seen. I see that you're a big fan of yuri, too. I love femslash pairings. *_* Have you heard of the Xena/Gabrielle from Xena: Warrior Princess? That's my favorite fictional lesbian couple of all time. =D Here are a few youtube videos of the pairing that I think you'll enjoy a lot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pw7JAePlJbI <--- Xena's Dating Rules http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZGcsZo2-lM <--- Gabrielle's "Happy Song" LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjUZGkNPArI <--- "Color Blind" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmnFd86ULVE <--- "Home" by Chris Daughtry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZV_NVwOMZ8 <--- Bryan Adam's "Never Let Go"

Yeah, I'm terminal, I'm end stage, I have days without hope - so similar to all those years of retail jobs during Xmas. Hee.

Beth, such portents expressed in your choice of line and art today....
I hope for your comfort.
Uhm... I've heard this one somewhere before...
Cthulu?
Elliot.
One of my favorite poems. Good picture to match, too.
I hope you are doing ok.
*hugs*
Lots of similarities to Eliot at about the same time, but Yeats. Love that poem too. Falconer, gyres. I'm with you. Center will not hold.
I love you.
That's one hell of a powerful line.
Sending hugs.
Yeah, that was going to be my next guess. Right after Charles Williams.
Aside from that, how are you doing? As the swelling in your arm gone down from the race?
And the medication that your new doctors scripted for you, has that helped at all?

We care about you, you do know that? And that YOU aren't any kind of rough beast, but a wonderfully human, honest, loving person?

*calls for less demolition noise*

As eloquent as ever, dear, despite the dearth of words.
My reply is Avril Lavigne's song "Keep Holding On."
Love and hugs,

Dear Anon: Is that you God? It's me Margaret....

Bored, the anonymous troller slouches round the circle of friends...
I doubt the source of your anger is really Elizabeth, anonymous, even if you know her. I honestly hope you find some inner peace.
