Good news from h.naoto; Yaoi and images for your dreams

A rough day in a lot of ways but it had a good start at 2:30 am regarding my h.naoto rucksack. When because of “I don’t WANNA go to bed, I got a direct email from the representatives of the internet selling of h.naoto (h.naoto is still a little dubious about selling on the internet because like NEVER reissuing something it lows the ‘you have to go to this store in Tokyo!’ aspect). They had sent an email earlier saying they were considering selling the rucksack out of the English speaking site. Which has a bit of a markup (about 20% for reasons unknown).

Suddenly I get this email when I SHOULD be asleep which says, follow this link for your rucksack, with a an extra note, “Please check below link quickly, because of low stock.” The link to the rucksack is HERE. And no, not $95 anymore but I will save another week or two. So Linda, bless her, did not wack me in the head when I rolled to her sleeping form at 2:32 am and said, “I need your credit card.” We bought the rucksack and then went back to the link and saw what you saw. It is OUT OF STOCK. So “low stock” was the polite way of saying, “As a favor to you, we have created this on the English site and put a total of ONE rucksack there.” Anyway, when it arrives I will take the picture, all I have now is my receipt saying, I own one h.naoto rucksack. And I know it is more than I planned but it is OVER and will I grouch about the extra $20 for a while, probably. But then I will forget and be happy because I will be the only person in THE WESTERN WORLD much less North America with this rucksack on their wheelchair. So yes, Veralidaine or whoever believed that if I can get my very own Shrine Maiden sword dance while in Japan, I can move an entire Tokyo Fashion industry to my will (I didn’t! I was nice, I sent emails, Linda called, we talked to them, they decided to be nice – but seriously, ONE backpack…what if I was asleep?).

I am also disappointed after 90 minutes of taking photos of Oga, and trying to bring you the color, that no one mentioned it at ALL, just stuff on my brain (which yeah, is important to me too, but hey, I wanted the photos for you to enjoy). So just for that, today we finish with, Yaoi, which is boy/boy love photos – no don’t worry no hard core or even soft core boy love photos just a couple pictures. Let me introduce you to some of the image of boy love, here is our tender uke (younger, dainty male love object). Boy love romances are for girls who have not seen male anatomy mostly, haven’t had sex with guys and hang out with girls. In Asia 70% of romances sold are boy/boy (Yaoi) ones. Okay, first, this GUY has a way better look of the tender, “oh, I’m feeling vulnerable and I need to be cuddled” look than I DO, and I practiced mine in the mirror (No, not a lot, define a LOT, how many dozens of hours?). Is it because my eyes just AREN’T big enough? And his nails are WAY better looking than mine (that’s because I push a wheelchair, honest). And his hair, sigh.

Okay, here is our couple with the Seme (aggressive older male) with the same uke. First off, where does a GUY go to buy a tap pants sleep set? Do they even make such things (obviously they do?). Second, so smooth, so delicate, I am getting aroused by a GUY, because quite honestly, while not my area of expertise, I can’t figure out where his “equipment” goes (Linda saw it and says, “I bet it is tucked backwards!” – sheesh, she sure has changed since I met her at the bible study group.) So there you go, ignore my glorious images of Japan by a recognized artist and while the women can go “mmmmmm….” All the male readers can wake up tonight in a sweat from their erotic dreams of these very ‘romanticized’ versions (don’t guys HAVE hair, like on their legs and stuff?) of….guys?

Nite, nite, sweet dreams!

Hurrah about the rucksack! OK, if you hadn't told me he was a guy I would have sworn that was a girl.

I definitely prefer the Oga pictures more. The color, the tranquility, the lack of guys who look more feminine than me...

Beth, so happy that you got your backpack! Sometimes it pays to be up at 2 am (it's almost 3 am as I type this).

A package from me should be arriving soon.

That uke guy has rather a feminine figure. He seems to be wearing something to make his hips look massive in that first picture. Which they can't be because he is built like a stick insect! (Don't mind me - I'm just jealous. Think how much chocolate I would have to eat if I were that thin...)

I have a male friend with very wonderful hair. It is so shiny and smooth and well-behaved. He had bat tattoos on the back of his neck, too. I think that you would like him, even though he is male. Not sure how I got so far off subject with so few words - sorry!

I'm glad you got the backpack. I'm astonished at the boy/boy love thing you describe in Asia. Also, why does Yaoi seem to have pointy breasts in the second picture? Are you sure it's supposed to be a boy?

congrat on the rugsack.
Really, is that a BOY. it can't be he got boobes, on the seccond photo. Honestly. HONESTLY. Haven't got anything serious to say. My owen seems like it is going to explode. Better go back to cooking.
Have a very nice weekend and dream of your backpack.(which is american and which is englishrugsack or backpack. In sweden it is obviously ryggfsÀck.)

That is very cool about the backpack. I love the webs on it. I think when you are going out with your wings and the whole squirrel business, you are really going to confuse the public. Isn't that the aim of the whole thing? :P

I love the pictures you put up too, particularly the postcard pictures. I like to imagine what kinds of people you might send each card to. Although I did find some of the boy pictures disturbing - I second the comment about body hair, whoever said that. Odd. But very appealing as a picture, all the same!

Hot electric damn, I'm so happy you're getting the bag.

Beth, I'm SO glad you got your rucksack! It pays to be persistent, but I do think you have the knack for convincing people to do thing. I myself, have considered buying a corset just because of some of your pics. My hubby fully agrees I should find one too. lol
I'm sorry I didn't comment on the colors yesterday. I have dial up and some times I cant get the photos from the site to load right. I can see them today. I LOVE the one with Kiki barely seen in it. I want to run away and live in that house in that world. Beautiful. Plus..."Kiki's Delivery Service" is the only anime I actually know, seen, and own. So I really like it.
The post card I received from you yesterday is similar to the pictures today. It's the one "b-Boy". It has the older guy holding a a young man with black wings. It's so COOL! Except the winged dude doesn't look so innocent, actually "pained" would be how I describe him and older guy has a handful of black feathers. I wish I knew the story to the picture. They always have such great hair in anime.

Yeah! Back pack! The power of EFM is extraordinary :o)

I'm so pleased for you!!

Yay for the rucksack! I can't wait to see the photos :D.

I dunno, that young guy just seems a little... erm... young! Getting even mildly hot and bothered by looking at him makes me feel sorta creepy. Does that mean I'm officially an adult now?

I did notice the colours yesterday and had every intention of sending you a rapturous email about it (because yes, I remember). And then my arm crapped out. Or, as is apparently the new phrased, "cratered". Weird word. Didn't know it could be a verb.

So happy about the backpack! Can't wait to see it with you!

The rucksack gods obviously love you, Beth. You deserve that pack, though. Hmm, my Beloved says it looks like a corset.

I would also have thought that your uke was a girl; he looks like he has pigtails and larger breasts than a couple of girls I used to know. As for the tap pants, I sincerely hope they DON'T make those for guys! He can't stash standard male equipment in there, I know he can't. But he looks to me like he has Marfan's Syndrome. Maybe that's why you're so attracted to him? :)

Sorry dear, I meant to comment on the Oga pictures. They are very beautiful; especially the one with the sun low in the sky. The girl kneeling with the white kimono (head on other girl's lap? Oh, well...) is also very beautiful. Almost as beautiful as the dark fairy from the Hoh forest.

As for being up at 2 am: it's always 2 am (or close to it) somewhere in the world. It's 2:22 am in Melbourne, Australia while it's 10:22 am here while I type.

And now it's off to the post office to mail something to Beth, 'cause it closed before I could get there last night. Work is the curse of the drinking classes!

love and hugs,
Neil

Congrats on the pack, my nephew never got back to me about his contacts in Japan anyway

And I did love the first set of photos you took, particularly the girl with the katanna (duh, easy one for me)

As for the boy-boy stuff is there anything in our (north american) art that comes close to this? I've never seen stuff like this before (and I don't profess to be any kind of expert on gay art) where men are portrayed with such vuneraility or where one man is allowed to protect another is such a way ... well, ok, there are some "buddy" style action movies which comes close .... just picturing Eddie Murphy dressed in that outfit being comforted by Nick Nolte (48 Hours movies) ... is that an image I want to hang to?

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal!

Even at $20 more, that bag is a heck of a deal. It will be worth even more once it is perched on your wheelchair.

That particular yaoi couple squicks me out. (Errrrr.....is he 8? He's awfully tiny.) If the seme had been drawn approximately the same size, it would be different. But, like you say, this stuff is drawn for heterosexual girls who really aren't clear on the differences between boys and girls.

Veralidaine said...

Thrilled about the rucksack... and you rememebered my shrine maiden comment, yay! So funny about the politeness from the h. Naoto people where they act as if they did not do this only for you, but really you did bend an entire Japanese fashion industry to your will. Much like the shopkeeper swooning at hearing you and Linda are married, then giving a discount! GO EFM! You can do anything... except, of course, get the Wizard of Oz to give any of your scarecrow doctors a brain!

I like the wings one better too.

And Beth, you know you've really corrupted me in just a few short months! You say "no hardcore or even softcore yaoi" and I say "Well, whyever not?!"

Shea said...

Hey girl, I nominated you for a blog award, Pop on over to my blog to see what to do

Well, some guys do shave their legs and their entire bodies, which I have always thought a little strange, but hey, to each his own! I'm so glad you got the rucksack! I was really hoping you would find one.

Good news about the backpack - I;m so glad you will get it.

Elizabeth McClung said...

Actually, that's not breasts, that's just the opening of his silk chemise top opening at the neck hanging down (cause he doesn't HAVE breasts).

Cheryl: Yeah, I guess this is why I tend to find Yaoi okay becuase while North America and French gay stories are...um...explict and are about a particular organ of which I have not a great deal of interest (Hospital: Are you allergic to anything? Me: Sausage!)

Hey, you're a butch, guys who look femme aren't supposed to bother you!

SharonMV: Yes, one of the few times I can actually say being up at 2:30 was good for my mental health. I always look forward to things from you!

Abi: Well, Uke's are smaller and generally weaker, and younger, like in the Classic, millions sold series Graviton, the 18 year old boy sees a 32 year old guy and falls in love even though he's not, or didn't know he was, and his best friend says, "When you fall in love, you fall in love, go for it!" but the Seme looks like a MAN usually while the Uke looks like a boy - except for the hard core stuff but I don't go for that (remember allergic to sausage!).

Yeah, seeing pictures of a guy having better figure than me doesn't do a lot for my self esteem either. I probably would like him. I'm not bi, but I do like pretty things.

Tornwordo: Thanks, having a "wait until it is in my hands" thing for the backpack. Yeah, that's a guy, I have a whole book of pictures of him, just this Yaoi isn't really for gay guys but for girls who romanticise gay guys, kind of like how reading Mercedes Lackady (sic) Fantasy writer has these gay guys but the sex scenes are so overblown with flowers and such it reads like two Care Bears having sex.

Anna: No that is just the neckline of the silk chemise top falling open, it isn't boobs. Have a nice weekend yourself and thanks for the swedish, I will be sure to drop it into converstion today if possible.

Thea: I think I do like to push the boundries of what people expect out of those in wheelchairs, or rather, "Look at me, not the chair!"

Yes, the whole "How come HE doesn't have to shave and I do!", is frustrating but weirdly erotic and when you a lesbian being turned on by a guy who is "supposed" to be 17 but looks about 14 well, sigh, add in a bit of gender bender and I realize, just go with it and try not to ask too many questions.

I'm glad you like the pictures of the postcard, that cheers me.

Queen Slug: Me too - but wait and see!

Tammy: I think you should get one, take a look at Torrid online, the same corsets from Hot Topic by Tripp NYC but for women with more than a B cup (or IF you are a b cup take a look at hot topic) - usually great cosets with a bit of lycra and stays to keep you looking good for $50 or less, and these ones last, I have worn them for over a year with no significant wear as year.

No, the B-boy looks like the wings are painful but he looks a bit of a bad boy who doesn't need cuddling but looks like he knows exactly where he wants to be. At least that is how I view it, I am glad you liked it. They do have great hair and skin. And Lashes too.

RachelCreative: Yeah, I am pretty happy, only a couple weeks of OCD, but now I have to WAIT for it to arrive (Hurry, hurry!).

Gaina: I will definately take pics of me with the pack and it on the chair!

Lene: Yes, you are now an adult who will yell at youth to "keep the noise down" - haha.

Cratered, huh, I am sorry your elbow is cratered, my shoulder is too. I am using these new arm rests mounted around my computer to hold the weight of my arms (I should take a picture!).

Neil: I think it is based on a corset but I like it because unless the rest of h.naoto's bags for goth loli which can hold like nose dabbing paper and that's about it - this looks acutally useful, and great for Halloween!

The uke is but one of MANY adrogynous guys or femme guys - I bought a bunch of postcards and said, "Can I buy that one of the girl in armour at the front" and the seller said, "Sure, but that's not a girl, lol!"

Thanks, the Oga pictures are very hard to take and I have to get just the right setting and do a bright day with clouds to try and not get shadow.

Victor: I did appreciate everyone's efforts about contacts in Japan since WHO WOULD expect the company to change policy and create a web page just to sell me ONE backpack. So I wasn't exactly expecting that.

Yeah, I thought about the girl with the Katana when I was taking the pictures.

No, it very much seems a Japanese thing but then with men playing women's roles in Japan until about 50 years ago in Theatre the pursuit of beautiful guys is very tradition in japan and not considered much to do with seuxality. In the Geisha district, often apprentice actresses for the stage (boys) would be part of teh Maiko or Geisha scene of various houses (they had a slightly different name) and were indistinquishable to the women (well until the clothes were off) as Japanese women are usually A or B cup at largest until recently. So this Yaoi is just a lot of that brought into modern art for today's school girl - who is the main audience, gay men don't really like them because it isn't "real" - I guess for us the equivilent would be sort of Pre-Raphealite women, women who are so over romanticised that they are more symbols of beauty than real people (are there ever middle aged or older women in the Pre-Raphealites?).

I think in school both in Japan and here, such relationships do exist, not phsycial love but a sort of crush thing where a big older guy will befriend a weaker more articulate and less traditionally masculine guy who accepts him. I think I have read some western books or seen some stuff like that in films they are just portrayed as non-sexual - like Goonies, or Lost Boys, where "Older Brother" figure takes care of younger weaker male.

Yanub: I was very relieved and my mind has now stopped OCD'ing about how to get my PRECIOUS! so that is good!

And like you say these are for a culture where guys are kind of rude and girls are segregated by culture and with THAT sitting across the classroom from you as your future mate for the good of the country, who wouldn't want to romantice them. Also apparently "slash" fiction of Harry Potter and such (where the character are made gay), is very similar to Yaoi.

Veralidaine: See, some things stick mostly becuase, I was thinking, "What I have to move the entire Japanese culture not once but TWICE, who does she think I am?" But it turns out that what is possible is sometimes possible, if you TRY.

Well in that Case I have Very good idea of what to send you and it won't be any more mice on the front! "Why not?" indeed!

Shea: thanks a lot.

are you sure that's a guy? I mean, it looks like a girl's outfit that he's wearing, and it looks like a narrow waist...

Or if it's supposed to be a guy, how old is he supposed to be? Because if it's a guy he looks very young...

Desdemona, would the movie be "Howl's Moving Castle" that you were talking about?

I will misquote Cheryl here: I definitely prefer of the Oga pictures more. The color, the tranquility, the lack of guys trying to make me question my masculinity...

And congratulations on the backpack! Any idea when it's supposed to be delivered?

Ya know I had to come back & say that on my best day I don't think I've ever looked as feminine as that guy. lol

Linda: I'm sorry, I forgot to thank you earlier for your incredible patience and for not murdering Elizabeth when she woke you at 2:32 am to borrow your credit card for a rucksack. That is true love!

hugs,

Raccoon: we all found your particular paraphrase of Cheryl very funny. I am glad you are either in good or sarcastic spirits.

Aren't guys supposed to have narrow waists? I think he is "supposed" to be 16 and 'under-developed for his age'.

It is shipped EMS door to door so I think that is a week - I will have to see if they will give me the tracking number.

Queen Slug: No, neither did I and it depresses me greatly. If I had that look in the first picture, I could have gotten ANYTHING out of my father, my male teachers, my principal, etc. And while I haven't ever been GIVEN a speeding ticket by playing the "Oh so air headed and interested in you!" - That look would be a vital weapon of getting someone to buy you stuff!

Neil: No, if she just left the credit card near the computer there wouldn't be a problem....well except there was, she did...and I used it, and used it..and used it (it was so handy!).

This is long overdue but I came across this post by accident. I wanted to say very nice Okane Ga Nai pictures! One of my favorite yaoi's and one that is not easy for everyone to appreciate. Ayase ( the uke ) Is barely in college and the seme is only 5 years older but they look much further apart. Ayase in look and temperament is very very feme so often times my guy friends do lose sleep after watching part of the anime. To them all they see is...well he looks like a freaking girl. It makes me chuckle what can I say. ;)
