Apologies to those who have commented

A few things over the last couple weeks have brought to my attention that my writing is basically crap. I have found while removing my posts from the last month that the comments were being deleted as well. I meant no disrespect with that. I have appreciated every person who has left comments and they have meant a great deal to me. It is only the realization that the comments were being permanently deleted which made me stop deleting posts. I again apologize for eliminating the comments as it was unintentional.

I'm sorry you've deleted stuff. Ir was an important record of some crappy things that had happened - and it's pretty hard to find a language for some of those things. The literary conventions don't exist so you're exploring new territory.

I think you will find that some of the things you have written matter to other people, even when you are unhappy with them yourself. You set yourself very high standards.

I don't think anyone is satisfied with all their posts.

On another note, did you see that Geoff Holt completed his "persnal Everest"?

I think Kate J's not blogging for a week or so - in fact, I expect to get to see her before she posts again.

very best wishes - and thanks for your comments on my posts (some of which were also below par)

It wasn't crap; don't be so hard on yourself. Anyway, you will find that most people have much more generous ideas about what constitutes crap than you do, so even if it were crap, few would notice.

Having high standards can be difficult (apparently).

Thank you for writing. It is always good to read what you have to say.

Why would you say your writing is crap? It isn't; not at all! Never has been.

Yeah, what they said...

Please cut yourself slack when it comes to the literary merit of your blog.

Oh well, I'm cut to the quick that my priceless pearls of wit will nevermore see the light of day.

We all go through periodic revelations of our awfulness. Please don't commit literary Hara Kiri, though.

Looking back over my comment I realise it's ambiguous. I was saying that some of my posts were below par. Your comments were, as always, great and supportive and fun. (There - a crap comment from me with unclear grammar - but I'll leave my errors open to the world).

Your writing isn't crap - in fact, i think you're one of the better blog writers on the net...

I really liked your review of "Middlesex", and had a response i'd been preparing to it that i was going to post as a comment today, and in fact i was going to link to that review in discussions on several message boards...

Loads of your other posts were IMO really good ones as well, saying insightful things about disability and enlightening to read...

Would you consider un-deleting the "Middlesex" review? Or is it gone forever?

But I love your posts! I'll miss them! Waaah!

Sniff. Could you give us a vote next time before you decide we don't like your posts? Geeze I feel like I just got a hair cut when I didn't want one to find your posts missing. (I don't care about my comments.) I find your writing to be interesting and intelligent, alternatively raising many emotions in me as well as empathy and I look forward to your posts. Ditto on the MIddlesex one.

I rethought my position last night and will write a post about it later today if I am able - I lost focus or rather, I acted in an entirely human way (read: emotional burnout=overreation) - which, sadly, it turns out I am.

Like any good writer, I always make two backups. For some reason, though yesterday, reposting did nothing, today the comments came back and it put it on the original date instead of all on today (Blogger, like Spam, is a mysterious force).

I'm delighted to see the posts are back. They are definitely worth reading.
