Gone fencing: play nice till I get back

I heading off now to the Canadian Nationals (in EPEE!), and thanks for everyone’s support and encouragement (and a double thanks for the fencing socks with CANADA on them I received in the mail today). As I said to Linda about the women I'll be facing, “I’m beating someone over there, even if I have to do it in the parking lot.” – so I think I am at the “right” mental state.

Hopefully I will update as the hotel has a internet connection (depending on how sore I am).

Until I return I leave you with two favorite little music videos which combine so many of my favorite things. The first is called, “I wish I was a lesbian” and starts with a little monologue on how the song was created. If you are a female who has been at some time frustrated with men, you should love this little three minute animated piece. If you are a lesbian, you will find it hilarious (Linda loved it). If you are women who has NEVER been frustrated with men, then you might want to watch it anyway, just in case you ever decide to leave the nunnery.

And for the guys, I leave you with this funny song (which sounds like it was sung between Kermit and another muppet) about one straight guy telling his friend how wonderfully supporting he would be “if you were gay.” This overwhelming support is freaking out his friend no end (“I’m NOT gay!”). The joke is that this little music video is set to the anime Graviton, in which the characters (at least the main ones) ARE gay (if one could say it, “very gay”). Still, a hoot (however singing it to your straight friends/siblings during Karaoke MAY get you bruising)

Have a good weekend and every time you feel overwhelming pain or run another car off the pavement with your road rage – think of me.

Thanks for the music videos. They gave me a good laugh.

Hope you are doing well at the Nationals, but more importantly, I hope you are having fun. Can't wait to hear all about it.
